New Business Cards

Got new photos, hence the new cards.

New Business Cards

I am a powerhouse.

If you know me, then you know that I will do whatever needs to be done, usually without even being asked to do it.

90% of the time, if I see a piece of trash on the street, I will bend over and pick it up and dispose of it. On the rare 10% of the time I don’t pick it up, there is a very specific reason (dirty, gross, cleaning crew around, etc) which I don’t need to go into here.

The point is, that we all are part of this world.  We all have a role to live.  We all have something to give back.

The problem is, that in our society known as the USA, we struggle with this concept. We are a Brave New World made up of Warriors, Champions, Lovers, Travelers, and people seeking the Greater Good.  We are American and we are Proud.

We will not let anything stand between us and what we want….

But we do…Every day we put obstacles in front of ourselves (money, time, energy) that create bigger and bigger problems. In our effort to be the next big thing, we look at what was and try to improve it.  Why not look at what could be, and then create that possibility? It seems to be a much easier way to get there.

“The shortest distance between two points is a straight line.” You have heard this statement before.  Where in your life are you taking the shortest route to get from here to where you want to be?

You are amazing, let the world see it.

Do me a favor, and make your life easier. I found a free tool online that has brought me great results in just a couple days.  You will see results too if you read and follow the instructions.  http://SimpleOlogy.com Results may not come as quick for you but I hope they do. If you know me, then you know that I power through the hard parts fast to reap the rewards faster.  What’s the point in putting off the fun stuff for later if you can have it now with a little sweat and hard work? If you simplify your life now, it will be much easier for me to get you to your most powerful place in your life.  That’s why I asked the favor.  If you are ready, then I can get you where you want to go, even if you don’t where that is right now.

Yes I Did

I just disappeared for 3 full days. And my world did not end.

Yes, I have work to do. And yes, I have improvements to make but with a last minute packing job and a willingness to back down on some key issues at the start to keep everything on the up and up, I created an ideal getaway situation that helped me realize that life can be exactly what you want it to be, and no less.

Standing on the edge of Twin Falls in Mammoth Lakes, California, I realized that I had walked into my perfect life.  Here I am on a camping trip with a person who has turned me on to full power since the moment I first saw him seven years ago.  As he rests in the car from the long week he has had driving 400 miles and mountain biking down some serious mountain ranges, I stand on the edge of the waterfalls.

This was one of the many beautiful experiences I had had this trip, besides the 10,000 times I looked at my gorgeous co-pilot who has always been a good friend and someone that I feel completely safe with.  This camping experience was refreshing, empowering and true realization that my dream life can be lived.

Life turned upside down in Mammoth

Life turned upside down in Mammoth

So as I prepare for 4 days of action-oriented work, I start the visualization process for my next trip with my friend.  I feel the success already available to me.  I just have a small list of things to do to turn on my money-making machine.  A small list that provides big results. A list I can share with my clients to help them turn their workload into their automated tool for living the good life.  Please go and learn some awesomeness yourself for free at www.simpleology.com invest 1 hour in your brilliance, then call me to help strategize.

I feel so blessed, grateful and happy to be alive.  This world is a genuine blessing that we often don’t see until we stop and take a breathe and look around at the life we are living.

I talk to people all day.  That’s what I do.  If you have spoken with me, then you know it’s not often basic banter about the weather. It’s about life, love, business, passions, and problems that can be worked through.  It’s about creating a connection and seeing the world through another’s eyes.  And it’s about helping.

If you’ve shared lunch with me, then I will ask where in your life you are being held back. What’s stopping you from being your best, what are you lacking, where are you being held back, who is your biggest opponent, etc. Surprisingly, the answers reveal themselves very quickly.  The subconscious mind has the problem or stuck emotion readily sitting by and waiting to help or hurt.  The issue is often very fixable with just a minor mindshift change.  It’s not always easy. It’s not always something you want to do.  But once a situation presents a solution, the problem suddenly becomes more of a “to do” list item than an emotion, baggage or fear.

Now, I am not a psychologist. I study the brain, the emotions, the planets, and day-to-day lives as well as businesses and people.  I read and do life enhancement seminars often.  I get a lot out of these tools by applying the new ideas immediately somewhere in my life.  I talk to people that I meet in random places who often teach me something I needed to learn if I stop to listen.  I believe that everything you seek will come to you if you know what you want, put it out in the universe and accept it when it is presented to you.

So where am I going with this? More and more conversations lately have been revealing the reality of everyone’s financial life.  As Americans, we pride ourselves in our ability to overcome any obstacle and lead the way.  When it comes to financials, most of us don’t know how much not paying attention to them is costing us.

A girlfriend of mine and I were chatting the other day.  I assumed she made tons of money in her job because it seemed like a job that would pay well.  When I complimented her on her shoes, she said that she had bought them at Wal-Mart years ago. I thought, “That’s a smart and frugal move for something cute.” As we talked more, we both started revealing our favorite stores, all of which sell cute stuff for low prices.  Places like Ross, TJ Maxx, Target, Wal-Mart.  Neither of us mentioned Nordstrom, Saks, Bloomingdales or even outlet stores.  We are busy and we are cash-tight.

But are we really busy and cash-tight or are we not investing right for the future? That thought kept bouncing around in my head.

Are we living paycheck to paycheck because we have to or because we don’t want to pay attention to the reality of our situation and put real plans in place to retire young and successful?

I mentioned earlier that the universe provides the people who come to you when you know what you are looking for.  Recently, I have met financial planners, all of which are great.  One even showed me his software.  I thought it looked user friendly and perfect for what I needed.

But when it came to me saying I would be a client, this chorus went through my head of “you don’t have enough money to have a financial plan, you don’t want to show him how much or little you make, you will make it big writing a book, your 401K is taking care of you.” None of these little thoughts have, are or ever will help me get to my goal.  So in order to grow, I listen to each thought, thank it for its contribution, ask it nicely to be quiet, and tell it that I am going to try this new approach and see how it works for me.

Next steps: I just booked an appointment with my financial planner.  I will have a plan and I will use a professional to get it right from the start.

If you could do anything in your life when you woke up tomorrow, what would it be?  If you looked at what you are doing today, is it going to get you to that tomorrow you want?

Social Media 101

Using Social Media to Grow Your Business.
Instead of getting absorbed in Web 2.0 or 10.0 depending on when you read this. It is critical to first define what you want to get out of your social media techniques.

* Do you want more customers? If yes, what type?
* Do you want more sales? If yes, where are you driving them to close the sale once you’ve invited them into your website, store or firm?
* Do you want stronger relationships with current customers? If yes, how will you communicate with them and who will manage it?
* Do you want more recognition as an expert in your field? If yes, are you attracting the traffic that can grow your expertise or are you speaking on deaf ears?
* What do you want as the result of your social media efforts? Be specific.

Once you know what you want, you can set real goals to achieve it. Many business build a following on Twitter or Facebook, only to have those efforts be wasted on the wrong audience. Get specific. Know what you want as a result or as the old saying goes, you’ll end up “preaching to the choir.” And if you are trying to improve the world, how will that help you?

Choose your own adventure:
1. I know exactly what I want from my social media and web presence…
2. I have an idea of what I want but don’t know where to get started…
3. My company gave social media to a staff member to manage…
4. What’s social media?…

Because if you don’t know where you are going,
then how will you know when you get there?
